Ben Maguire, Liberal Democrat MP for North Cornwall, is calling for Susan Davy, Chief Executive of Pennon Group to resign following what he describes as the company’s “repeated and unacceptable failures” to prevent sewage dumping across Cornwall and the South West’s beaches and waterways.
Yorkshire Water is set to begin phase two of its £1.3 million storm overflow project in Pool-in-Wharfedale, which will reduce the number and duration of discharges into the river Wharfe, improving both the environment and water quality in the river.
