S&P Global Ratings has revised its outlook for both Northumbrian Water (NWL) and Portsmouth Water to negative in the face of what it describes as “tougher operating conditions”.
A new report is warning that climate risks to physical infrastructure combined with other threats mean that losses from climate-related hazards will continue to rise unless investors, lenders, insurers and policymakers undertake significant risk management efforts.
South East Water has published its Sustainability Finance Framework, under which the company can issue Sustainability Bonds and Sustainability Loans.
Two-thirds (67%) of UK corporates will be disclosing climate-related risks and opportunities in their 2019 annual reporting, according to new figures released by the Carbon Trust.
The world’s first benchmark index to price financial water risk to equities has been launched on Bloomberg. According to the collaborators who will develop the Index, financial water risk will affect $145 trillion in global assets under management by 2025.
