Devon County Council has issued a Prior Information Notice announcing its intention to go out to tender with a minor engineering works framework contract for the period from April 2022 to March 2026.

The number of schemes, each of which will have an estimated value of up to £1.5 million, is not known at present.

The framework will be used to deliver a wide range of civil engineering and structural works associated with the expansion, improvement and maintenance of DCC's highway, cycleway, waste management and flood risk management assets.

The contract is being tendered in three separate Lots – Lot A will cover works with an estimated value of up to £75,000, Lot B works between £60,000 to £400,000 and Lot C works between £375,000 up to £1.5 million.

The Council's current framework agreements for Minor Engineering Works (2018-2022) are due to expire on 31 March 2022 - with this in mind, a project to consider and procure successor arrangements is now underway.

Anticipated start date for the procurement is likely to be in Autumn 2021.
