Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure has gone out to tender with a roads and rivers term contract for the inspection and maintenance of underground infrastructure worth an estimated £6 million.

Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure has gone out to tender with a roads and rivers term contract for the inspection and maintenance of underground infrastructure worth an estimated £6 million.

The term contract for inspection and maintenance of underground infrastructure 2020 has defined three contract areas:

  • IMU1 — Greater Belfast area;
  • IMU2 — Coleraine, Omagh and Fermanagh areas;
  • IMU3 — Armagh and Lisburn areas.

 

Works to be undertaken under within each contract area include:

  • desilting of culverts
  • CCTV surveys of culverts
  • trenchless/specialist repairs of culverts
  • traffic management, gaining access to culverts, associated civil works

Estimated total value of the contract is £6 million.
