NI Water has gone out to tender with a contract for potable water quality analysis worth an estimated £1.145 million.
The contract covers the provision of DWTS and ISO: 17025:2017 accredited quality analyses of non-operationally significant (contracted analysis), the reporting of potable and raw water, waste water and trade effluent results. The contract will also include the supply of prepared sample bottles and their delivery to and collection from laboratories.
NI Water are required under the Clean and Waste Water Regulations to provide timely and accredited results to the regulators, for compliance and operational purposes alongside during major incidents.
In addition to planned analysis to be carried out at regular intervals during the life of the contract there will be an ad hoc analysis requirement.
The contract is being tendered in the following two Lots:
Lot 1 Non Operationally significant analysis (excluding some Acid Herbicides and Polar Pesticide suites)
Lot 2 Operationally significant analysis (some Acid Herbicide and Polar Pesticide suites)
