Northern Ireland Electricity Networks has gone out to tender with a framework contract for environmental engineering consultancy services worth an estimated £3 million in total.

NIE Networks intends to appoint suppliers to provide consultancy services for environmental matters associated with obtaining planning approval (including compliance with planning conditions) prior to the design and construction of major transmission and distribution projects.

The contract is being tendered in the following two Lots:

  • Lot 1 - Environmental Consultancy Services at Pre-construction Stage.
  • Lot 2 - Environmental Consultancy Services at Construction Stage.

The Services will be carried out at various locations throughout Northern Ireland.

Contracts awarded under the framework agreements will be for an initial period of three years with a further two year extension option.
