Southern Water has awarded a number of contracts for asset investigations and flow monitoring worth an estimated £32 million.

The contract was tendered in two separate Lots.

Lot 1 covered asset investigations to understand asset conditions, including impermeable area surveys, infiltration tests, connectivity surveys for sewers, CCTV surveys and underground asset surveys.

Lot 2 for flow monitoring involves the deployment of equipment in the network which is left in place for 6-12 weeks - activities will include flow and pressure surveys for the wastewater network and pumping stations.

Initial contract term is four years, with further extension options of up to 4 years.

Southern Water was looking to appoint up to six suppliers to the framework agreement- no information has been made available about the successful bidders.
