Thames Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for waste collection, haulage and disposal/recycling services from operational sites worth an estimated £56 million-plus in total.

The framework is being tendered in the following 10 Lots:

  • Lot 1a: Screenings East & Lot 1b: Screenings West (£21.87 million)
  • Lot 2: Grit (£4.43 million)
  • Lot 3: Metal (£120,000)
  • Lot 4: Hazardous (£433,333)
  • Lot 5: Ash (£3.34 million)
  • Lot 6: Multi Waste (£3.33 million)
  • Lot 7: Marine Life Waste (£8.28 million)
  • Lot 8: WTW-Specific Waste (£12.08 million
  • Lot 9: Pyrolysis Char (£2.89 million)

The initial framework agreement will run for 3 years with extensions of up to 2 years and up to a further 2 years. Thames has reserved the right to:

  • not award 1 or more or any lots;
  • combine the award for all/or some lots;
  • award the lots based on geographical coverage.
