United Utilities has awarded four contracts for its training services framework worth an estimated £10 million.
The water company were seeking to put a training resource for United Utilities Projects in place for project and programme management related training where a business as usual (BAU) resource or alternative internal resource is not available.
The contract was tendered in two separate Lots - Lot 1 covers systems training and digital design/delivery, including new IT systems that United Utilities are implementing or upgrades to existing systems currently installed. There may be a requirement to work with a third party to design and deliver the system based training or alternatively a requirement to deliver without design involvement and vice versa,
Lot 2, for generic training design and delivery primarily relates to the provision of project design and delivery where the business change relates to process, system, behavioural or cultural change and there is a requirement for soft skills design and delivery or a more facilitative approach to training delivery.
The following suppliers, three of four organisations who bid for the work, have all been awarded places on the framework:
Escalla – London (Lots 1 and 2)
Floatdene Training Ltd - Milton Keynes (Lot 1)
QA Ltd – Slough (lot 2)
The contracts have been awarded for an initial period of 3 years with options to extend for up to a maximum term of 8 years.
