On a visit to Cambridge last week to discuss the region’s urgent water needs, Environment Secretary Steve Reed highlighted how water sector investment is set to unlock growth in the East of England.
Environment Secretary Steve Reed is highlighting the Havant Thicket reservoir as a prime example of how £104 billion in private sector investment into water—the largest since privatisation—is driving forward major infrastructure projects and creating over 30,000 jobs across the country.

S & P Global Ratings has raised Thames Water’s rating to 'CCC' from 'D' on completed debt restructuring following the High Court of Justice of England and Wales' sanction on 18 February of its restructuring plan.
Fitch Ratings says it sees moderately higher business risk in AMP8, mainly driven by heightened exposure to environmental risk, increasing public scrutiny, and higher clawback risk, which is linked to the price control deliverables (PCDs) mechanism.
