Regulation and Legislation
MOSL, the non-household (NHH) retail water market operator in England, has told Ofwat “there are opportunities to set clearer targets and performance commitments for the NHH market” in the upcoming 2024 Price Review.
Ofwat has accepted Anglian Water’s application to increase charges to customers to allow it deliver two components of its Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) Elsham Transfer and Treatment scheme in-house, instead of including them in the tender for the DPC project.
Water UK, the body which represents the UK water and wastewater companies, has flagged up a number of concerns and suggested alternative approaches to Ofwat’s initial views on the framework for PR24 and future price reviews.
The Regulators’ Alliance for Progressing Infrastructure Development (RAPID) has published a review of its work on progressing the delivery priorities set out in its Forward Programme for 2020-21.
A judging panel with expertise in a wide range of sectors and disciplines, from open data to sustainability, has been announced for a £40 million competition designed to promote a wave of innovation across the water sector to deliver transformative benefits for customers, society and the environment.
