The Regulators’ Alliance for Progressing Infrastructure Development (RAPID) has this week received submissions for 15 strategic water resource schemes from nine English water companies, including proposals for new water resources and inter-regional water transfers.
The Government has published a detailed and updated water resources planning guideline for water companies in England and Wales – and says it is also relevant to those organisations responsible for producing regional water resource plans.

Yorkshire Water has welcomed the Government’s announcement of new measures to reduce personal water use.
The Government has today announced new water saving measures to safeguard supplies, encourage water efficient products and introduce a more consistent approach to leakage; seven new areas in the South, East and the Midlands have also been designated as in serious water stress.
