Ofwat says the pandemic has exacerbated problems faced by customers struggling with bills and poor mental health – the regulator is calling on the water companies to do more to help.
Ofwat has launched a consultation on new guidelines for regional and small water only and water and sewerage companies on helping residential customers in England and Wales pay their bill, access help and repay debts.
The Competition and Markets Authority has launched a merger inquiry into the completed acquisition by Pennon Group plc of Bristol Water Holdings UK Ltd.
